Can Trauma Conversion Therapy, TCT, Help Me Heal My Trauma?

Michael Blair • Sep 27, 2020

Let's talk more about Trauma Conversion Therapy, a relatively new form of trauma treatment.

Blair Counseling and Coaching - Learn why Trauma Conversion Therapy, TCT, is not conversion therapy.
You're all too familiar with the symptoms of trauma. In fact, the very word, trauma, sends a shiver down your spine. Trauma triggers are a regular part of your day. As a result, you seem to be living in a constant state of high alert. Likewise, you find yourself trying to prepare for the next flashback that will take you back to the moment that led to your trauma. However, what if through Trauma Conversion Therapy, TCT, you could heal the emotional pain.

Trauma Conversion Therapy, TCT, is not conversion therapy. Conversion therapy is a very different, controversial form of treatment altogether. TCT, however, is a highly effective approach to treat past and recent trauma. Likewise, the method is similar to EMDR, which helps those with PTSD and other trauma-related disorders heal. TCT can help you reprocess your trauma and get your life back.

Let's talk more about this relatively new form of treatment. We'll discuss what Trauma Conversion Therapy is and how it might be able to help you work through your trauma.
Blair Counseling and Coaching - Like EMDR, Trauma Conversion Therapy is an approach used to treat those with PTSD or dissociative disorders.

What is Trauma Conversion Therapy, TCT?

Trauma Conversion Therapy, TCT, is an effective form of treatment. Like EMDR, this approach can be used to treat those with PTSD or dissociative disorders. Similar to the EMDR process, through treatment, events frozen in your brain can be accessed and released. Although the memories that plague your mind are not likely to disappear, the effects tied to them can dissipate. As a result, trauma, in essence, converts into a memory that doesn't hold you hostage. In other words, you can get your life back.

Trauma Conversion Therapy is a face-paced, effective approach to treat unresolved trauma. TCT can help you heal past and present emotional pain and distress. Similarly, the development of TCT came from the need to process traumatic events in a short period. Often, traditional treatment is helpful over time, but the process of healing can be slow and very painful.

Can Trauma Conversion Therapy Help Me?

Trauma Conversion Therapy may be right for you if you have PTSD, a dissociative disorder, or unresolved trauma.

Trauma can come in many forms and from a variety of sources. For example, natural disasters, a pandemic, and violence from war or protests can all be traumatic.

Unresolved trauma can lead to dissociation. Dissociative disorders form as a way to escape from your thoughts. As a result, you may feel like you have frequent out of body experiences or memory loss.

At Blair Counseling and Coaching, we can help you heal. We offer Trauma Conversion Therapy. As a result, through treatment, you can release the emotional stress that drives triggers and other trauma symptoms. Likewise, we can help you obtain clarity around the traumatic event that may be holding you prisoner in your own mind.

Did you know the root of your addiction is likely due to the core beliefs you developed as a child? These negative beliefs connect to deep emotional wounds that invoke raw emotions. In order to avoid these feelings, your inner parts work together both proactively and reactively.
